HS-Architecture is an award-winning, multidisciplinary architecture and design firm, based in Yorktown Heights, NY. The firm was founded in 2004 by Heike Schneider with the mission of creating beautiful, sustainable, and custom buildings for clients. We strive to meet and exceed client’s expectations while remaining true to the firm’s three basic principles: sustainability, details, and collaboration. HS-Architecture was awarded with the Best of Houzz Award in 2020, 2018 and 2016 for the highest level of client satisfaction.

At HS-Architecture we focus on all three of the interdependent dimensions of sustainability: environment, economics, and society. Our projects focus on sustainable design that fit within each client’s design preferences and budget. HS-Architecture has implemented various sustainable design methods including passive energy design, alternative energies, and green building materials.

DETAILS

For us, thoughtful and beautiful details are the essence of sustainable architecture and are the result of a carefully created synthesis of form and function. At HS-Architecture we create site specific designs that aim to create harmony between a project’s location, existing built structures, and the surrounding nature. By examining the surrounding area, lighting, topography, form and orientation of the site, we create projects that shy away from run-of-the-mill solutions and instead provide original, unique designs.

Independent of the individual budget, every project is treated with the utmost professional scrutiny and ability. New and project-specific details are created for every project, highlighting the client's preferences and style.

The finished result is the product of the architect's, the contractor's  and the subcontractor's professional ability and pride in their work.
